Colossus Books is a locally owned used bookshop in downtown Lockhart, TX, about a half hour drive from Austin. We share a retail space with a shop called Golden Hour which sells a mix of contemporary and pre-loved apparel, home decor, and basic enchantment supplies like cards, candles, and incense.

We pride ourselves on keeping the best stocked poetry section in Texas, with a focus on the postwar poets. In case you didn’t catch the reference in our name, we absolutely adore the Cambridge poets and work hard to bring you both common and collectible books by Plath, Hughes, Gunn, Levenson and more… (Moore too but she didn’t attend Cambridge).
